Yes. All our tables are available to book for drinks only. Of course you would be missing out on our carefully curated selection of delicious small plates, inspired by the vibrant flavours of Portugal and beyond.
We’re delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs at Porto Wine Bar! To ensure a comfortable experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that dogs remain off the furniture and are kept calm and quiet during your visit. If your furry friend starts to bark or become unsettled, we ask that you step outside with them for a moment. Thank you for helping us maintain a cozy and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone!
Yes. We have monetary vouchers available to buy for £25, £50 or £100. You can buy the vouchers at the bar or online and we will post the voucher to your address.
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
We accept cash and all major debit and credit cards including AMEX.

We take bookings for any party size up to 12 guests from Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays we currently only take booking for parties of 4 or more and up to 12 guests. Some bookings may require a card authentication of £10 per person to secure the reservation, depending on the group size, type of event or at peak times. No money is taken from your account with a pre-authorisation; money will only be claimed if your entire group fails to show for the reservation. Tables are held for up to 15 minutes past your booking time, if you are running late, please let us know as soon as possible.
After 24 hours, if you haven’t called us to cancel and you’re a ‘no-show’ we really don’t want to take your money, but will have to take £10 per person from your card. Any problems we’re here on 01227 941299. No-shows cost us a lot and takes the space of guests that would love to be at the bar – thank you for your support and understanding.
Porto Wine Bar make it the perfect location for any event in all seasons and our famed Courtyard area is available for private hire. Get in touch if you are planning an event and our team will be pleased to discuss what we can do. We love hosting weddings, birthdays, work events & meetings. Exclusive venue hire is also available. Get in touch with our dedicated team and we will be happy to help you plan your event.
We can also organise a wine tasting event with a dedicated wine presenter for your party.
At Porto Wine Bar, we strive to accommodate all dietary needs and preferences. If you have any specific requirements or allergies, please let our team know when placing your order, and we’ll do our best to assist. While we take every precaution to avoid cross-contamination, please be aware that our kitchen is small and handles a variety of ingredients. If you have severe allergies, we recommend discussing them with our team to ensure your safety and satisfaction.
Due to a couple of steps leading to our courtyard area and toilets, we are sadly not a fully accessible venue.
